Get Going $7.5k grant
Get Going Clubs provides funding to support not-for-profit local sport and recreation organisations to create and provide access to participation initiatives / volunteer training / equipment etc.
Eligible not-for-profit sport and active recreation organisations can apply for funding of up to $7,500 (GST exclusive).
Organisations approved Get Going Clubs Round 5 funding in 2016 (project delivery period of 1 January 2017 – 31 December 2017) are NOT eligible for Round 6, Get Going Clubs unless the applicant is a multisport and regional organisation. Multisport and regional organisations can apply each round, providing the project is for a different sport/recreation activity, purpose, location or affiliated club to the project approved in the previous round.
Organisations with projects in a disaster declared Local Government Area for Severe Tropical Cyclone Debbie and associated rainfall and flooding events as per the Fact Sheet (PDF, 219KB) are exempt from this requirement and are eligible to apply. (Gold Coast is on the list although only some areas were affected - https://www.disasterassist.gov

Get Playing grant
Important to remember that any grant and/or facility proposal from Sporting Clubs (with a Council lease) please ensure you direct to Recreation Services in the first instance. This includes any project that proposes to place new infrastructure or upgrade old infrastructure within a park (e.g. building, toilets, change rooms, dugouts, lighting, fencing, courts, irrigation, equestrian yards, cricket wickets etc).
